Chris Mizzi - Managing Director


Since, Chris has been particularly active in the real estate sector and is a dedicated member of the Mizzi Estate’s Board, which oversees the organisation’s real estate portfolio.

In 2010, he represented the company’s interest in the composition of a consortium that bid for the privatisation of the Malta Shipyards – a consortium that was later successful in acquiring the rights to operate the Manoel Island Yacht Yard.

To-date, Chris takes an active role in the yard’s operations and is instrumental in setting out its strategic direction and developments both locally and abroad. He is also a member of the Mizzi Organisation Board of Directors.

Having graduated with a BA from Luther College in the US in 1987, Chris returned to Malta and began his career in the tourism industry. Here, he was instrumental in capitalising on the Mizzi Organisation’s assets, in a sector that had already reached maturity.

Ing. Kevin Muscat – General Manager


Educated at Stella Maris College, Kevin is a warranted professional with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malta, which he obtained in 2006. He later pursued a Masters Degree in Environmental Management and an MSc in Integrated Science and Technology, which he jointly read at the University of Malta and James Madison University, USA, in 2009.

Kevin then began his career in earnest in the building services sector, working with a local company. There, his primary role was to oversee the execution of fire safety and security projects in the oil and gas industry in North Africa.

Later, Kevin joined Vassallo Builders Group, where he took on the role of Environmental Engineer and shortly after as Group Technical Manager. There he was trusted with the management and supervision of medium-to-large-scale construction and engineering projects, as well as the management and operation of the Group’s property portfolio. In this role, Kevin and his team were instrumental in the delivery of two of the largest Design-and-Build projects ever undertaken by the Maltese Government, namely the construction and operation of both of Malta’s Solid Waste Treatment plants in the South and North of Malta. Beyond that, he oversaw the execution of a number of the Group’s own projects and developments, among them, being extensive alteration and refurbishment works at retirement homes and office block extensions.

Kevin joined Mizzi Estates in 2018. His wealth of experience in the construction and real estate sectors – coupled with his technical expertise and commercial skills – set him in good stead when it comes to facing the challenges that this demanding role brings with it. Today, he remains dedicated to taking the company and his team to a whole new level, by raising service-quality standards across Mizzi Estate’s leasing operations and by delivering best-of-class property developments.

When he isn’t working, Kevin enjoys travelling and has a passion for cooking. He has a strong interest in the arts and considers stone carving and wood craftsmanship his favourite means of relaxation. Kevin is married to Myriam and is a father to two daughters, Elisa and Emily.
As General Manager of Mizzi Estates, Kevin is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team that manages and operates the Organisation’s vast and diverse property portfolio, as well as spearheading new residential and commercial developments.

Perit Sandro Soler – Project Manager



He spent the first three years of his career as a project architect in the public sector, where he took charge of the construction and finishing of a number of residential units.

In 1989 Sandro moved into the private sector, where he was responsible for a number of projects in the hospitality sphere. Here he was entrusted with the refurbishment of the Hyperion Hotel and, later, the Ramla Bay Hotel extension. Beyond that, he was appointed the resident architect and civil engineer for the prestigious L-Imgarr Hotel in Gozo, where he oversaw construction and finishing.

Later, Sandro moved on to become the site architect and civil engineer on the new Radisson Hotel in St Julian's, before joining the Bencini and Demicoli architectural firm as resident site engineer on the Portomaso tower – then the tallest building on the island.

In 1999, Sandro was employed by Bezzina & Cole, a firm he worked with for 14 years. There he worked on a number of noteworthy projects, including the InterContinental Hotel, a home for the elderly, and the redevelopment of the Actavis Head Office.

Since then, Sandro’s career has veered into the realm of project management, and he has been responsible for various multi-million euro projects funded by the EU. These have included the construction and upgrading of roads in a number of local industrial estates, as well as the rehabilitation of the Maghtab landfill.

Today, Sandro is employed by Mizzi Estates as a project manager, where he has overseen a number of key developments in the last four years. These have included residential units, commercial premises, and the refurbishment of a number of car showrooms.

Outside of work, Sandro enjoys a wide variety of interests, from snorkelling to fine arts, and overland travel to martial arts. He is married to Myriam, and they have two sons and a daughter.
Sandro graduated in architecture and civil engineering from the University of Malta in 1987, and was subsequently awarded his warrant to practice as a Perit.

Darren Saliba – Head of Finance


He is a Certified Public Accountant, having graduated in B. Accountancy (Hons) from the University of Malta in 2000. He also holds a degree in Management.

Darren began his professional career as an auditor at KPMG Malta, and later worked on secondments in the Isle of Man and Switzerland, where he gained vast experience in a number of industries.

He joined the Mizzi Group in 2006, specialising in VAT and tax matters, and is now responsible for the Group’s audit function.

Darren is married to Diana and is the proud father to Elena and Michelle. He is an avid football fan, and a former water polo player with a playing career spanning 25 years. More recently, Darren served as Honorary Secretary of his boyhood club, Sliema Aquatic Sports Club.

Darren is the Mizzi Organisation's Head of Finance for Financial Reporting and Tax matters, as well as the Financial Controller for Mizzi Estates.
