Maintenance Lead


Position: Full - Time Maintenance Lead

Mizzi Estates Limited is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Lead for the maintenance and upkeep of all Mizzi Organisation properties and in any other areas as requested by the Property Maintenance Manager of Mizzi Estates Ltd.


Duties:

Reporting to the Property Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be required to;

  • Lead the maintenance staff (team of 2 to 3) in the performance of their duties
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all building services as required from time to time
  • Complete worksheets for works undertaken
  • Carry out inspection of reported fault, repair and advise as required
  • Carry out repairs on locks, windows, tiles, doors, plumbing systems etc.
  • Other general repairs / maintenance works

Skills Required:

Ideally, candidates should:

  • Have onsite maintenance experience – Preferably 5 to 10 Years’ Experience
  • Preferably be in possession of an Electrical License ‘A’ Certificate
  • Have Health and Safety awareness
  • Be flexible
  • Be Team oriented and be prepared to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Have a good command of written and spoken Maltese & English
  • Possess a driving license

Other:

Previous attendance at a trade school will be considered an asset.The job requires the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling;some climbing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; and significant reaching, handlingof tools, occasionally working on scaffolding and/or high ladders.

Assistant to the Project Manager


Position: Full - Time Assistant to the Project Manager

Mizzi Estates Limited is seeking to recruit a full-time Assistant to the Project Manager.


Duties:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be required to;

  • Measure and prepare surveys of properties
  • Prepare layouts and 3D images for development and marketing purposes
  • Assist in the preparation of bill of quantities and measurement of works
  • Liaise with the project team members
  • Co-ordinate construction and installation works with the contractors on site
  • Ensure quality assurance on site, in particular with the installation of finishes
  • Ensure that construction activities progress according to a predetermined schedule
  • Liaise with project stake holders (local council, H & S officer, PA, etc.)

Skills Required:

  • Able to read architectural and structural layouts
  • Knowledge of local sanitary laws
  • Knowledge in local planning matters
  • Proficient in Maltese and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to work with ACAD and 3D modelling applications
  • Preferably in possession of MCAST level 4 advanced diploma in construction or equivalent
  • Aptitude to learn new procedures, techniques, applications & skills
  • Be pro-active and work on own initiative
  • Be creative and has flair for design
  • Must have good interpersonal & communication skills and be able to work as a team
  • Minimum 2-year experience in the construction industry
  • Possess a driving license
