The 20th Edition of the Malta Engineering Excellence Awards (MEEA) was successfully held on Friday 3rd December 2021 at St. John Cavalier in Valletta.
The MEEA 2021 was organized by the Chamber of Engineers in collaboration with the Energy and Water Agency and held under the distinguished patronage of Malta’s President George Vella.
Mizzi Estates was shortlisted amongst two other finalists for the Energy and Water Sustainability Award, issued by The Energy and Water Agency for projects having a significant impact on energy and water usage. Mizzi Estates’ submission dealt with the green initiatives it undertook on its new Pangea Offices – a state-of-the-art office block in St. Julian’s which Mizzi Estates completed recently.
The main green feature on this development is a unique 8-Storey, 26 metre-high natural, garden wall covering an area of more than a 100 square metres with over 4000 individual plants.
Mizzi Estates’ submission earmarked other key initiatives – amongst others; Intelligent lighting system for all common areas, integrated mirror systems in restrooms, double glazed apertures and installation of Heat Recover Units (HRUs) in all office areas.
